Music & Worship
OUR VISION - “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” - Colossians 3:16 (ESV)
OUR GOAL - To encourage the Clayton Baptist Church family to learn, sing, and love biblically-saturated songs.
OUR STRATEGY - Finding, teaching, and rediscovering God-Centered, Biblically Faithful, Musically Beautiful Psalms, Hymns, and Worship Songs.
OUR METHODS - Below are the specific ways that we use the gifts that God has given the members of Clayton Baptist Church to glorify Him to the best of our ability.
Worship Band
Our worship band primarily leads worship in our 9:00am service. The band usually consists of acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, piano, drums, and vocalists. We lead all types of songs in a modern worship band style.
Choir
Our choir primarily sings in our 9:00am service, but sings in our 11:00am service at times. The choir consists of people who love the Lord, love singing, and want their gift of music to honor God and encourage the church.
Audio Tech
Our audio technicians assist in leading worship in virtually all of our worship services. This is a perfect place of service for those who have a mind for technology, a heart for serving the Lord, and a love for the music of the church.
Video Tech
Our video display technicians assist in leading worship in most of our worship gatherings. This is a great place to serve for those have a mind for technology, a heart to serve the Lord, and a desire to help the church worship in spirit and truth.
Instrumentalist
We use instruments in all of our worship services, but there are times when we need different instrumentation. If you enjoy playing an instrument like a trumpet, violin, clarinet, organ, etc. we would love to give you an opportunity.
Handbell Choir
In some of our more special services, like Christmas, we love to have a handbell choir help lead in worship. This is a great place of service if you can read music, want to help the church worship, but don't have the time to devote to year-round service.
