Know the Faith
Deep Theology
Christianity is the story of reality. As young men and young women living in reality, we need to know that story. CBC Students don't just sit and listen; we lean in and learn. From detailed studies on the attributes of God, to deep dives into the evidence for the historical resurrection of Jesus, we believe it is our duty to truly and deeply know what we believe.

Delight in God
What is the meaning of life? Jesus said that it was to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind" (Matt 22:37, NASB). God doesn't just want us to serve Him out of duty; He wants us to delight in Him as our greatest and most magnificent pleasure. CBC Students endeavor to cultivate that passion for delighting in God through maintaining a culture of heartfelt teaching, worship, and uplifting community.

Honest Answers to Hard Questions
Christianity is true. It's true in the sense that gravity is true. It's not just a matter of subjective preference or the result of a personal quest for meaning. CBC Students recognize this and prepare ourselves to explain the incredible evidence behind the Christian worldview. From the reality of truth, to existence of God, to the resurrection of Jesus, to the reliability of scripture, we back up our beliefs with evidence.

Growing to Be Like Jesus
Jesus has raised the bar. The low expectations of being "good enough" is never enough for the committed follower of Christ. CBC Students seek to live our lives in a way that pleases God, our savior. When we fall down in sin, we seek to hold one another accountable, encourage one another when we struggle, and rebuke one another when we rebel. By God's grace, we seek to grow closer to our Lord together.

Confident Evangelism
The best news in the world is that Jesus came into the world to save sinners. We believe that such great news is worth sharing! As such, CBC Students train together to effectively proclaim the gospel to our friends, families, classmates, coworkers, and neighbors. We welcome others out of their brokenness and sin for we ourselves are broken and sinful, always in need of our loving savior.

My name is Trent Blake
I'm 27, married, and have been a Christian since I was twelve. I went to school for theology, apologetics (defending the faith) and philosophy. In other words, I'm the guy that spends my days sharing Jesus and then stays up all night pondering if there really is such a thing as the greatest conceivable pizza.

I've written two books and about a dozen (free) pamphlets on what Christians believe and why it's true. I also love board games (like the really long nerdy ones), shooting, and hitting people over the head with pool noodles.
