Children's Ministries - Regular Schedule

At Clayton Baptist we strive to provide leading and teaching that will help your child accept Christ as Lord of his or her life.  After acceptance comes discipleship-learning to discipline ourselves in Christ.
 
SUNDAY
 
Worship Service Childcare
 
8:15-9:30 AM-Safe and loving childcare is offered for children under the age of four for parents attending the Sonrise Worship Service.
 
10:30-12:00 Noon-Safe and loving childcare is offered for children under the age of four for parents attending the Worship Service. Older children are dismissed from the Sanctuary following the offertory special music to attend Kidz Praiz in the fellowship hall. Kidz Praiz is a special worship service for children age 5 through 6th grade.
 
Sunday School
 
 9:30-10:30 AM-Age-graded Sunday School classes meet in a fun and loving environment to teach children about Jesus through music, Bible stories, crafts, guided play, small and large group activities.
 
 
Wednesday
 
 Children's Choirs
 
Children meet in age level groups Wednesdays at 6:00 PM
Beginning Music Time is for children who are age two by Sept 1.
Younger Music Time is for Children Age 3 by Sept. 1-Age 4.
Older Music Time is for older 4 year olds and kindergarten students.
Music Makers is for students in grades 1-3.
Students in grades 4-6 participate in the Young Musicians choir.

AWANA is a ministry that incorporates scripture, games and a large group time that focuses on the gospel. Our goal is to teach and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Awana Clubs meet during the school year and follow the school calendar. 
 
All Clubs meet each Wednesday from 6:30-8:15 PM
Puggles (age 2), Cubbies (3 and 4 year olds), 
Sparks (K-2nd Grades) and Truth and Training (3rd-6th Grades) meet in the Education Building.
 
 Child Care
 
6:00 - 8:15 PM Safe and loving childcare is offered for children under the age of two for parents who are participating or assisting in other on-site ministries.
 
 
 Special Events
 
Vacation Bible School
 
May 19, 6:00 PM VBS Sign-up Fair follows the AWANA award ceremony. The fair includes a bounce house, dunking booth, face painting, water slides and more!
 
June 7 - 11, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Come visit the wild west for a Vacation Bible School adventure! This year we are going to Saddle Ridge Ranch to learn. Each day of VBS begins with a worship rally then it's on to Bible study, crafts, music, recreation, snacks and missions. The week ends with the parents coming to share their child's VBS experience.
 
Sports Camp
 
July 12 - 14, 4:00 - 7:00 PM Children 1st through 6th grade learn basketball or football skills while learning God's life skills. Sports camp is held at Rabun County Recreation Park fields and gymnasium. The camp culminates with scrimmage games, a hotdog/hamburger cookout for campers and their family, and a guest speaker who makes a life challenge to campers. Campers need to be pre-registered and will receive a sports camp t-shirt and bag.  A registration fee is required.
 
Music/Drama Camp
 
For one full week, children in 1st through 6th grade learn music and drama skills while learning God's life skills. All activities for this camp are held on Clayton Baptist Campus. The camp culminates with a musical and icecream social. Campers must be pre-registered and will receive a music camp t-shirt and bag.  A registration fee is required.
 
 
Fabulous Fun for Everyone
 
August 11 , 5:15 - 8:15 PM Fabulous Fun for Everyone is a family event for young and not so young filled with a fun circus atmosphere.  There is a bounce house, dunking booth, cotton candy, games and more!  We also sign-up for AWANA during this event.
